Swan May Be Cancelled!

At this point in time the pre-registration numbers for this weekend’s races are low enough that cancellation is being considered.

  • The good people out in Swan River have pulled out all the stops to make this weekend the best Swan Race weekend ever!
  • There are 3-races, a pasta dinner and a breakfast that would make a lumber jack happy.
  • Swan has a kick-ass course with all the single-track, hills and descents you could ever want… and then some.
  • Did I mention 3-races?!
Bottom Line:
Go to swan.

Please contact Dave to day!

If you, or anyone you know, is planning to attend please make your intentions known ASAP.

  3. He said he'll know by late tonight, early morning, and will let me know, as I may be leaving to Lake of the Prairies fri as well. You might want to shoot him a e-mail asking him to reply to you as soon as they know.

  5. i do feel bad in some way for the Dave and folks helping him. it is a great place to ride and race, having been there a number of times. i have always seen low attendance at this event, and it is often difficult to schedule full weekend events for my family. arlene is not a cyclist and her enthusiasm for my interest is limited, she is an avid gardener and she needs her weekends without our kid as much as i do. i hate asking my parents and i can't justify hiring a sitter. and i hope to bring him along sometime soon to "my" events. i feel for some odd reason i need to run a series of excuses for my friends of why it is difficult for me to spend time with them. kevin has done something quite impressive this winter by bringing a great concept to my attention. we need competition. every event should have a challenge for friends and foes to compete with each other. perhaps swan river needs to cooperate with other provinces to attract more "competition". Dave J. mentioned on wed. that he never did any investigative work in that direction. i would like to hope that this may rase the level of interest. a canada cup or inter-provincial cup? any ways, i hope you guys have a good time.
