Leah Kirchmann has won her first Canada Cup race in Bromont! She is in a 2nd Canada Cup this weekend in Mt. St. Anne. She is competing for the ONE position available for a female junior in the Worlds Championships. The position is 'earned' by the best of 3 races. She is in contention. For the 3rd race she needs to go to Hardwood Hills in Ontario. She is experiencing financial difficulties and needs help to get to Toronto for the Hardwood Race. She has free accommodations and transportation once she gets there.
It would be great if the Manitoba Cycling Community would pull together to help Leah have a shot at a world championship-she needs $1000.
Just earning the position to go to the Worlds is HUGE!
Sport Manitoba likes to see results and funding for cycling depends on these results....this is a huge result!
