Thanks Greg. I actually rode that race very conservatively. With a ‘big climb’ and a ‘steep decent’ it is difficult to find a perfect gear. Choose a big hammer fest gear for the downhill and you burnout quickly on the going up. Stick with a perfect spinning hill gear and you get dropped on the bombing down. I went with the ‘in between’ gear and took every risk I could ever imagine I was capable of on the down hill. I was sure you guys were going to “work together” to reel me back in, but I seemed everyone was thinking like a bunch of mountain bikers. It was a good race on a great course with some new faces. Hopefully, we can get some more people out next year.
In that crit pic, you can almost see me dropping my "suitcase of courage" right at that moment. You fast!- good race!
