Details for this weekend’s stage race have been published. Olli is a supper star volunteer! He has had to change the road course 3 times in order to accommodate Birds Hill Park and the Oakbank RCMP. You’re the man Olli!
Please note that the Time Trial registration opens at 8:30 am – 9:30 am and the first rider will go off at 10:00am. The park requires that we have to be finished by 11am.
Details:
Time Trial (Saturday ) is one quick loop of the park. There will be delicious health food after the race including dark chocolate Banana Bread fresh from the oven
Road Race (Sunday) has a controlled start in the East Beach parking lot, and will be exiting the park to enter the road course (again, the park insisted we be done by 11am, and we did not want the 8am race start this would require, so we are racing outside the park). The winner of each event (Cat 3, 4, 5) will receive a bouquet of Mother’s Day flowers, to make up for ditching you Mother on her special day. There will be a BBQ after each event finish in the East Beach parking lot.
Crit (Tuesday) will be held in the Assiniboine Park Formal Gardens, and GC prizing done on the completion of each event.
