Intermontane Challenge 2009 - Go Mike Go

Some of you might remember Mad Mountain Mike who moved to Ottawa and has continued to compete in various crazy events around the world. He is presently holding his own in the inaugural Intermontane Challenge in Kamloops BC (despite problems). Go Mike Go!

Stage 1: Mike Abraham 39th out of 95 with many many flats and getting lost... what happened to Jonah Clark...

Mike - Got beat up pretty bad by the 37 degree heat, extra milage and loose rocks on day 1 of 5 at Intermontane.....the poor marking also cost me 20 places and one of the top female solos a podium. Clearly some kinks to be worked out here...

Stage 3: Mike - another day...another fiasco...tho it started well...........tis a shame....Still scorching like a blast furnace here....40 degrees in the sun yesterday....a cool 36 degrees at 7 pm tonight.....too hot for me even...for racing.....

Stage 4: Mike - Finally a good day of singletrack, but slow and technical and the promised 85 k turned into 100 k.....ran out of water, 2 flats right near the end on the road and dug deep burning all the matches to hammer the last 10 k in the exposed sun and heat !
2-5 not posted yet... sucka*** website!
