Mountain Bike Committee Meeting Summery:

Well attended, lots of energy, efficient, productive, to the point. Well done Hal.

Minutes and other interesting stuff will be posted very soon Here

Monday workout: Basically just commuting, but I felt like I was coming down with something (and did) so I tried to get to bed early and sleep (which I did not), then I was up early (which I did) and on the bike at 5:30 am Tuesday while you were sleeping for 4-hour of high cadence base ride (which I did).

Note: there is some questioning going on about the truthfulness of my training regime. Mmmm I am not quiet sure how to address this. I guess racing is the best acid test.

  3. You caught me ;) I do more then I say report, but hey I do not want to freak anybody out. The key to success is to learn to love training. Train to train - as they say. For myself, I have been working on using the riding as mental recovery time. Rather then reading a book, watching TV, eating chips, going on long walks, running up the cell bill, crying, sleeping, fighting, or any of the other strange and funky things people do when they are stressed, I ride the bike. That way every ride is a therapy-mental recovery session. The hard part is finding balance (i.e., getting everything done on time and at the highest level).

  6. It is true. Trainers are soooo boring, but much better then the stationary bike (which you can never make fit properly). Nothing beats riding outside, but rollers are the best for indoors. At least it works for me. Still… I am really looking forward to getting outside on Saturday and Sunday for some kind of Adventure in the Snow!
