Senior Masters are on cloud Transalp
Ferdinand Ganser and Georg Niggl from ept connect have also won the seventh stage still having a clean slate. The bearers of the Green Jerseys needed 4:16:21.5 hours from Kaltern to Andalo and therefore were obviously pleased with it: “Despite the heat we did a very good job and were also able to make it to the finish ahead of the best ladies’ teams. It’s a wonderful result for old men like us. We are on a cloud” said Niggl.
The Giant Swiss D’Uerner Oldies Walter Ehrler and Marcel Arnold came in as second behind of the serial winners in the oldest age classification (4:21:00.5). Gerhard Moll and Alfred Jocher from Scott Team Heilenmann/MOM grand masters rounded out the podium as third. (4:34:04.8).
Preview final stage eight from Andalo to Riva del Garda:
Short, tough and gorgeous: On the final stage riding technicians get their money worth once again. After the transit to Lake Molveno and the Passo San Giovanni, the last mountain on the route to Lake Garda, it’s time for an outstanding highlight: on a meadow trail one can catch the first glimpse on Lake Garda and enjoy the view into the Dolomiti di Brenta. From there on the precious finisher shirt is close!
