2008 'Cross Nationals Awarded to Edmonton

It is finally official - the 2008 Canadian Cyclo-cross Championships will be held in Edmonton in Argyll Park on October 18th, with the UCI-sanctioned Jim Horner GP to be held the next day.

This has been the plan for quite some time, but it took a while for all the paperwork to be ironed out with the UCI. As for the early date - this is due to the UCI not wanting Canadian Nationals to conflict with other major 'Cross races later in the fall. The normal date for cyclo-cross national championships in Europe is early January, however, that doesn't work too well in our climate...

    sorry man, did not think to put up changes for the sunday ride (bur oak instead of sandilands) on the blog site - since there were no replies i did not think anyone was paying attention. if you'd like well put you on the email list.
