- UMCA Year-Rounder Challenge
Rules Summary:
For routing reasons some centuries are just less than 100 miles. In the Y-R a century is a ride of 90 - 149 miles. An "Organized" century is a ride with: a name, designated start/finish location and starting time(s), route plan, organizer, and advance publication of the ride or ride series in club newsletters, etc.
A "Personal" century is a personally designed ride. For credit, you must complete at least 90 miles in a 12-hour period including off the bike time (and maintain an 8.33 mph average after that). Personal centuries provide century-length riding opportunities for riders in seasons or locales where Organized centuries are sparse.
Any Y-R ride counts toward the Larry Schwartz award — brevets, double centuries and ultra events.
The Y-R year is January 1 through December 31.
Because up to two make-up rides are allowed for the Larry Schwartz award, riders can still start as late as March.
Riders in any country may participate.
Complete rules and ride submission.

Note:
Indoor Mileage: You may ride indoors "centuries" (six hours) for credit in the Y-R, so long as they follow the UMCA Indoor Challenge rules. You may ride up to twelve a year (viz., enough to qualify for the Larry Schwartz award). Indoor centuries are submitted in the normal way as Personal rides, or as Organized if ridden as part of an organized indoor event, publicized as per the Y-R rules.
For credit in the Indoor Challenge you must submit the ride separately to the Indoor Challenge.
Challenging endurance cyclists to excel!
UMCA Indoor ChallengeOverview And Rules
Too cold, snowy, icy, or rainy to ride outside? Not enough snow to cross country ski? Then take the indoor challenge!
The Indoor Challenge is a low-key winter fitness challenge. It is intended to be a fun way to motivate those who live in climates where the winter weather can at times be inhospitable for outdoor cycling. Of course any UMCA member inany climate can participate in the challenge. Riders track each of their indoor rides of two hours or greater and submit them for points.
